Brad Friedel retired from playing competitive football on May of 2015 which was when the 2015-16 season of the Premier League reached it’s end.
Ever since hanging up his gloves, the American shot-stopper has embarked on a new journey as a club ambassador for Tottenham Hotspur.
The retiree has even turned into a coach as he was named as the manager of the United States under 19’s squad.
It appears like Brad Friedel still continues being a busy person even though he has retired but has opened up new chapters in his life with new and different roles but there is a realistic possibility that Friedel might even take up another task as he is being eyed by the new owners of Nottingham Forest as a potential candidate for the director of football position in the club.
John Jay Moores is the man that is leading the way behind the takeover of Nottingham Forestwhich is expected to be completed within the upcoming few days and it’s believed that these new owners are taking into consideration giving Brad Friedel with the director of football role.
It has already been confirmed and fairly well-known that Fawaz Al-Hasawi has put up for sale Nottingham Forest, the club that he acquired back on July of 2012 but after making a string of poor decision he is now looking to offload the club and potential buyers have already emerged.
It’s believed that Brad Friedel has already even travelled to the facilities of Nottingham Forest as he is rumored to be interested in taking up this new role, nothing has been officially confirmed but all signs are pointing towards Brad Friedel becoming the new director of football within the upcoming few weeks or even days.
