There is an ongoing goal-keeper problem which is occurring in Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea as Thibaut Courtois has proven week after week why he deserves to be the number 1 shot-stopper of the Premier League club but this leaves PetrCech with no place in Stamford Bridge and the player from Czech Republic is expected to be reaching his last few months with Chelsea.
Courtois has not shown any signs of slowing down as he continues making outstanding performances every time he plays and it does not look like PetrCech will be able to reclaim his spot as the undisputed goal-keeper of Chelsea as his future is appearing to be away from Chelsea but there still are many other top clubs that are willing to sign the 32 year old player.
Rumors are now beginning to spread around suggesting that Tottenham’s Brad Friedel is being viewed as a potential replacement for PetrCech after he leaves Stamford Bridge.
Brad Friedel has not made a single Premier League appearance for Tottenham Hotspur in this season as the 43 year old American goal-keeper has to settle with a place on the sidelines of the team and watch Hugo Lloris take the center stage.
If Friedel does make a move to Stamford Bridge, things will remain the same as Courtois is undeniably one of the best goal-keepers in the world at the moment and Jose Mourinho is simply looking for someone who can serve as a back-up option.
It seems unsure if Friedel would be interested in joining Chelsea as the experienced goal-keeper already has an established relationship with Tottenham Hotspur after having joined the club in 2011 and where he is also going to receive a special United States ambassador role for Tottenham as they are planning to expand commercially across the Atlantic in the near future.
