DERBY DAYS

Tottenham Hotspur will face Arsenal in a Premier League clash at White Hart Lane on Sunday. It will be the 28th match for both the teams in the tournament.

The result of this match can change the position of both the teams in the points table. Currently, the Spurs are at no. 3, Chelsea is at no. 4 and Arsenal is at no. 5. But, there is not much difference between these three teams in terms of points. Chelsea has only two points less than Tottenham, while, Arsenal has only two points less than Chelsea.

The Spurs have been in great form recently. Out of their last five games, the Spurs have won four. The remaining one match ended in a draw.

On the other hand, Arsenal’s form hasn’t been that great off late. They have suffered defeat twice in their last three matches. However, they won their last match against Aston Villa by 2-1, but, that was certainly not one of their best performances.

In the last two matches, Tottenham has scored goals in the last minute. In the match against Lyon, the last minute goal gave them one point, while, in the match against West Ham United, the last minute goal gave them the victory.

Gareth Bale is in the form of his life, but, Andre Villas Boas would like the other players to contribute as well. Also, he would want the defenders to continue their impressive form. In the last couple of games, the Tottenham defenders have performed quite well.

On the other hand, Arsenal depends on the big three i.e. Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere. On their day, these three players can win matches for the Gunners.
Considering the recent form and the resources that the two teams have, one would say that Tottenham will be the favourite in tomorrow’s match.
