Bojan Krkic is believed to be number second in the list of the strikers that the Arsenal management has on its radar this summer.
The Gunners’ priority at the moment is Alexis Sanchez of Chile, but, they are not certain to be successful in grabbing that deal. They are in competition with a couple of other big clubs for the player. So, they have kept Krkic as another option.
Krkic is presently a Barcelona player. He had made his way back at Camp Nou for his second tenure last summer, but, had been immediately loaned out to the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam where his performance was absolutely pathetic. He played a total of 24 matches in the Dutch league and could score only 4 goals.
Krkic had proved to be an absolute flop during his first tenure at Barcelona as well. He had found the net just 20 odd times in more than 100 appearances spread between 2007 and 2011.
Most of the pundits in England reckon that Krkic would not be a good buy for Arsenal if they decide to go for him.
Krkic’s stats in junior football were remarkable and thus, a few years back, he was considered as a future superstar, but, he has found it really difficult to make transition from the junior to the senior level.
It’s not that he has failed only in Spain. His numbers in Italy and Holland in the last 3 years haven’t been great either.
So, to back him to shine in English league after so many failures would be a really brave thing to do for Arsenal.
If Arsenal doesn’t sign Krkic, there is very little possibility that the 23-year old would be featuring in a top league in the upcoming season.
