FRIEDEL REVEALS BEST PREMIER LEAGUE GOALKEEPER

Ex-United States of America international Brad Friedel has revealed the best shot stopper in the Premier League. Brad Friedel named thebest Premier League goalkeeper in an interview monitored by British publication Metro.

American goalkeeper Brad Friedel wrote his name in the Premier League folklore following his presence in a Premier League starting XI over the course of over seven years. Brad Friedel cemented his place amongst the best goalkeepers in the history of the Premier League when he appeared in consecutive games over the aforementioned period. He was always starting a Premier League game between May 2004 and October 2012.

FRIEDEL: ASTON VILLA CAREER UNVEILED

Brad Friedel is one of the best goalkeepers to have featured in the Premier League. The American shot stopper represented several teams in the competition from Blackburn Rovers to Aston Villa toTottenham Hotspur. In addition, he is also one of the goalkeepers to register at least one goal during their Premier League career.

Retired United States of America (USA) national team goalkeeper Brad Friedel informed Blackburn Rovers about his exit plans in the summer of 2008 as he asked for permission to speak with Aston Villa who were interested in signing him. Apart from Villa, Manchester City also wanted to sign Brad Friedel.

FRIEDEL: LIVERPOOL CAREER EXAMINED

Retired American international Brad Friedel is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers to feature in the Premier League. He signed for Merseyside giants Liverpool from Columbus Crew in his native United States of America (USA). He was at Brondby in the Danish top flight and at Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray before returning to the Columbus Crew to play for one season. Brad Friedel returned to European football when he signed for Liverpool in 1997.

Brad Friedel played professional football for four clubs before he signed for former Premier League winners Blackburn Rovers in 2000. Blackburn Rovers had won the Premier League title five years before the arrival of the American goalkeeper.
The United States international had left Liverpool after three years at the Merseyside club. He spent the majority of his career at Anfield as second choice behind David James and then Sander Westerveld. Before his career at Liverpool, Brad Friedel had played professional football at Brondby in Denmark, Turkish giants Galatasaray and Columbus Crew in his native America.

BRAD FRIEDEL: NATIONAL TEAM CAREER EXAMINED

Brad Friedel was one of the best players of the last two decades for the United States national team. The ex-Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur shot stopper spent 13 years in the United States national team from 1992 to 2005.

Apart from representing the United States 84 times at senior team level, Brad Friedel also represented the team at three FIFA World Cup tournaments. He is the recipient of the most consecutive Premier League appearance record spanning 310 games in the colours of Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.

Brad Friedel is the fourth most capped player for the United States of America and he made his debut against Canada in 1992. He managed a clean sheet in the game against the Canadians.

FRIEDEL DOUBTS VILLA EUROPEAN BID

Premier League legend Brad Friedel has cast doubts on the ability of the current set of Aston Villa players in the bid to secure an European ticket at the end of this season. Brad Friedel rarely gives an interview but the former Premier League goalkeeper sat down with the Birmingham Mail to talk about Aston Villa, Jack Grealish and the Premier League.

According to the ex-Aston Villa shot stopper, the current crop of Aston Villa players are still some way from his team that finished in sixth place in two successive seasons in the Premier League. 49-year-old Brad Friedel was 37 when he signed for Aston Villa in 2008 and he went on to help the club to sixth place at the end of the league season in his first two campaigns.

Former Tottenham Star Hail's Arsenal For Retaining Arteta

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel has hailed the Gunners for the faith they invested in manager Mikel Arteta despite some poor run of games in recent times. Friedel was speaking on SkySports where he made his mind known that even though it was not an easy decision, kudos to the Arsenal board for encouraging Arteta by giving him more time and chance to show what he is capable of.

The ex-goalkeeper highlighted that if it was that easy, Chelsea would still have Frank Lampard as their manager, referring to the impatience of The Blues owner Roman Abramovic who dished out the sack letter to Lampard some weeks ago.

FRIEDEL AND LAMPARD HAIL TERRY; PREDICT VILLA FUTURE

Frank Lampard and Brad Friedel have both poured praises on former Chelsea defender and a England international John Terry, as they talk up his current role at Aston Villa and predict his future.

Terry was heavily linked to the vacant role at Derby County after the sacking of former coach Philip Cocu. After Cocu was relieved of his duties, Wayne Rooney, who was a Player-Coach, assumed temporary managerial duties and did his best to convince the club's management to hand him the job full time.
Rooney was convincing enough and was rewarded with the permanent coaching role at Pride Park, the same place Lampard started his coaching career. The former England midfielder was the coach of Derby County for months and implemented his exciting style that was perfectly executed by a set of young, promising, exciting players.

FRIEDEL FOCUSED ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

American football icon Brad Friedel has been focusing more on youth development on the back of his exit from New England Revolution in the Major League Soccer (MLS).Brad Friedel was named the New England Revolution boss in November 2017 and was at the club for 18 months before he was sacked in May 2019.

Brad Friedel lost his job after the club opened the 2019 season with two wins from 12 games under his watch. New England Revolution had a record of two wins, eight draws and two losses from the 12 MLS games before his exit. In total, he had a career record of 12 wins, 21 draws and 13 defeats from the 46 games managed by him.

After his stint with New England Revolution, Brad Friedel made the decision to turn to youths and that informed his partnership with NCE Soccer. The goalkeeping legend joined forces with NCE Soccer earlier this year to impact on the lives of the young players. Brad Friedel has been working with young players across all NCE Soccer venues and programs for several months. On his decision to team up with NCE Soccer, Brad Friedel expressed his delight at the opportunity towork with the young players and help them develop their goalkeeping skills.
