Friedel Believes That Spurs Would Finish In The Top Four

Brad Friedel the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper believes that they could make it to the top four by the end of the season. The North London team climbed closer to the fourth place after beating Everton this weekend and with a gap of three points separating them from Liverpool the Londoners would be fighting till the very end to earn a place in the Champions League for the next season.

In an interview with SPORT Friedel said that they are the top favorites to finish for the fourth spot and he has high hopes from the team and expects them to achieve that place. He is confident about the team and says that they are working hard in the training ground. Their new coach is handling them really well and with Adebuyor getting into good form the fourth position may not be far away from them.

Spurs have already played in the Champions League two years ago although they could not make it to the knockout stage. Friedel was very supportive of Tim Sherwood and said that with his coaching style the team is benefiting very much and they would try their level best to win the Europa League this season. They have already qualified for the knockout stages in that tournament and are now the hot favorites for this second tiered European competition.

The US goalie said that it is good to take part in another cup and it would help in gaining confidence in the team. He also went on to say that it would be a great year for them if they manage to win the Europa League and also finish in the top four of the Barclays Premiere League. Every team would be fighting hard to stay in the league and finishing in the top four would give the fans a huge uplift for the next season.
