Brad Friedel's confident vote to Harry Kane

Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel has given an outstanding vote of confidence to striker Harry Kane by calling him as one of the best players he has played with.

This comes as a major plaudits for the young England under 21 international, who has come through the ranks at the club. Friedel has played with some of the best players in the world during his time at the likes of Everton and Tottenham. He is also one of the experienced goalkeepers at international level after having represented the USA in close to 100 appearances before retiring in 2005.

Friedel is no longer the first choice goalkeeper at Tottenham. He is largely seen as the backup for Hugo Lloris, who has been a fine goalkeeper. He is in the last few years of his career at the age of 43. It also gives him a lot of experience to say with confidence thatKane is a great talent. After repeated calls for his inclusion into the Premier League team, Mauricio Pochettino finally gave the striker start against Stoke City just before the international break.Kane has been in fine scoring form this season and he has already scored eight goals in 13 matches of all competitions with most of them coming as substitutes.

"Harry Kane is the best finisher at the club - I've got no problem saying that. He's up there just with his finishing as one of the best that I've ever played with. He's got every type of finish - the power, the side-foot, he can chip and he can score from distance. He's really got the eye for a goal. There is a very bright future ahead of him. On top of all that, he has a very good work ethic," said Friedel. It would not be surprising to see Friedel announce his retirement at the end of the campaign.
